We all have those days when a day at the beach is calling you. I had one of those days last month when my brother was visiting so off we went for a relaxing beach day. We decided to head south west to Canggu to check out the new “Finns Beach Club”.
We had an awesome day at the beach at Finns Beach Club. We choose a family sun bed in a shaded area, 500,000 IDR / $38.00 USDto enter the club. The entrance fee is then credited to your food & beverage spends during your stay. There are a several different areas to lounge in the very large bamboo structure, modeled after the Sydney Opera House and the expansive surrounding grounds of the club. There are many choices where to relax and spend your day, full sun, under a canopy, beach front, pool side: all very comfortable with a beach towel for each guest.
The cocktails were well made, the food was good, the service was attentive and the music was perfect up-tempo &relaxing with the sound of the ocean in the background. Good Wi-Fi, super clean toilets.
We spent time jumping the waves in the Indian Ocean, swam in the pool, had an ice cold Corona at the pool bar which over looks the Indian ocean, as everywhere in the complex does. We both had a hamburger for lunch, which seemed apropos. We enjoyed a few cocktails and small bits over sunset, which were tasty &refreshing.
It was the perfect beach day. We left Ubud at 9:30 am arrived at Finns at 10:45, departed Finns at 6:30 and we were home in Ubud at 7:30. The whole experience is like staying a hip five star hotel on the beach, without a room at the hotel.
